Policy Prohibiting Sexual Harassment

 

Purpose
Deiters & Todd Library Consulting (Deiters & Todd) is committed to providing a work environment that is free from sexual harassment. We believe that every employee has the right to work in an atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices.

Policy Statement
Sexual harassment is strictly prohibited at Deiters & Todd. This includes, but is not limited to, unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Such behavior can create a hostile work environment and undermine our commitment to a respectful workplace.

Examples of Prohibited Conduct

• Unwelcome sexual advances or propositions

• Inappropriate touching, hugging, or other physical contact

• Sharing sexually explicit materials or jokes

• Making comments about someone’s body or sexual orientation

• Any behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment

 

Reporting Procedures
Employees who experience or witness sexual harassment are encouraged to report the behavior immediately. Reports can be made to:

All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly. Deiters & Todd will ensure that all complaints are handled confidentially to the extent possible.

 

Non-Retaliation
Retaliation against any employee who reports sexual harassment or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited. Any acts of retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.

 

Consequences
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
